In these days when i wasn’t
looking, you grew into something
really big. With layers of material
You tried on so many masks
that your own face changed. And
you dont remember who you were.
Neither do i.
You look so unlike you.
You haven’t been you. I can
see a neon name around your hat.
I didn’t recognise you. I
lay down and cried.
Then you spoke. A gentle whisper
that echoed. And melted all the false
layers you’d been living in, only
to prove you didn’t care.
The neon name exploded into
pieces. I saw the colours you
were born with.
I lay down and cried.
